Trade credentials awarded

From the 2024 IPEDS completions file. Counts are credentials awarded in the reporting year — a size signal, not a quality score.

Trade Credentials offered Awarded that year
🔥 Welding & Metal Fabrication Certificate / diploma 6

This is what Academy of Careers and Technology reported awarding — not a full course catalogue. The school may run programs that awarded nothing in the reporting year, and may have added or dropped programs since. Confirm directly before applying.

Questions worth asking Academy of Careers and Technology

  • What does the West Virginia licensing board credit from this programme toward my apprenticeship or licence hours?
  • How many hands-on hours — booth, bench, or live equipment — are in the programme each week?
  • Which employers hired from last year's class, by name?
  • What is the total cost including tools, materials, and testing fees, not just tuition?
  • Is there a registered apprenticeship in this trade locally that would pay me to learn the same material?
