What XOi is

XOi puts a structured capture workflow in the technician phone: scan or photograph the equipment nameplate and it identifies the unit and pulls manuals and specifications, then guides the tech through photo and video documentation that becomes a customer-facing report. A remote expert can join the call to help on the hard ones.

Integration lists change often and "integrates" can mean anything from a real two-way sync to a one-way push through Zapier. Ask the vendor which fields move, in which direction, and how often.

Before you commit

• Treat diagnostic output as a second opinion, never as an authority. A wrong call in the field is expensive.
• The honest win here is documentation speed — measure that, and let diagnosis be a bonus.
• Check it works offline or degrades gracefully; mechanical rooms are signal dead zones.
• Ask what happens to your job video and customer footage, and who can access it.
• Adoption is the whole game. If your best tech will not use it, nobody will.

How to judge it in a trial

Run one real job through it end to end — not the demo data. Quote it, schedule it, do it, invoice it, take the payment. Then ask the only question that matters on day 400: did the people who have to use this every day find it faster than what they do now? Friction you notice in week one compounds forever, and tool-hopping costs more than any feature gap.
